We are on Bluff Ridge Road above Trempealeau, 25 minutes up the Great River Road from La Crosse. Supper Wednesday to Sunday; the bar opens half an hour before the kitchen.

Map of the Bluff Room and nearby towns The Mississippi River runs from Winona in the northwest to La Crosse in the southeast. Highway 35 follows the Wisconsin bank. Trempealeau sits on the river between them, and the Bluff Room is on Bluff Ridge Road on the bluff just north of town. Galesville is to the north on Highway 54. Getting here

From La Crosse and Onalaska

North on Highway 35, the Great River Road, about 25 minutes. Go through Trempealeau, then turn right up Bluff Ridge Road. The sign is lit from 3:00.

From Winona

Cross the river into Wisconsin and head south on Highway 35, about 20 minutes. Bluff Ridge Road is on your left before you reach town.

From Galesville

South on Highway 54 toward Trempealeau, about 10 minutes. Bluff Ridge Road comes up on your right.

Parking

A paved lot at the top of the hill, with level spaces by the lounge door. Room for a coach bus if your group is coming together; call ahead.

What to wear

Supper club casual. Come as you are; plenty of people dress up a little for Saturday prime rib, and nobody minds jeans on a Friday. A collared shirt or a nice sweater fits right in.

We only ask that swimsuits stay at the beach and that the dining room stays shirts-and-shoes.

Getting around inside

The lounge door has a ramp and opens onto the bar and the main dining room on one level. The restroom by the lounge is accessible. Booths are snug; ask for a table if you would rather have a chair you can move.

Good to know

Can kids come?

Yes. There is a kids menu for 12 and under, high chairs and booster seats, and every kid gets a kiddie cocktail.

Can we bring a birthday cake?

Yes, and there is no cake fee. Leave it with the hostess and we will bring it out with candles and plates.

Do you take reservations on Fridays?

For 4:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 8:30. From 5:30 to 7:00 Friday is walk-in only: give your name at the bar. How Friday works.

Are dogs allowed?

Service animals are welcome everywhere. Pets are not allowed inside.

How do we pay?

Cards and cash. We can split checks for tables of up to eight. Gift certificates are sold at the bar.
