What happens in the hour
Six steps, always in this order. The bar shows how the sixty minutes are shared out.
Cleanse and look 5 min
A double cleanse, then a close look under the magnifying lamp so we know what we are working with today.
Exfoliate 10 min
A gentle suction wand with a mild acid solution lifts dead skin. It feels like a cool, wet vacuum. No scratching, no grit.
Extract 10 min
Suction clears blackheads and congestion. We add manual extractions only if you want them.
Infuse 10 min
The serum chosen for your skin goes in while pores are clear: hydrating, clarifying or brightening.
LED light 15 min
Red light to calm, blue for breakouts. You lie back under eye covers; plenty of people doze off.
Protect and plan 10 min
Moisturizer and mineral SPF, then a few minutes on what we saw and what to do at home.

Ask us first if you
- have taken isotretinoin (Accutane) in the last six months
- have a cold sore, rash, sunburn or broken skin on your face
- had injectables or filler in the last two weeks
- use prescription retinoids; we may skip the acid step
Pregnant? The facial is fine; we switch to a pregnancy-safe serum.

We pick the serum after looking at your skin, and tell you why. You can always ask for a different one.
- Hydrating
- Hyaluronic acid for tight, flaky or dehydrated skin. The usual pick in a La Crosse January.
- Clarifying
- Salicylic acid for congestion, blackheads and breakouts.
- Brightening
- Vitamin C for dullness, uneven tone and leftover marks from old spots.

Afterwards
You may look a little flushed for an hour. Most people go straight back to work.
- Skip makeup for six hours if you can, so your skin keeps the serum.
- Wear SPF every day, even in winter. Freshly exfoliated skin burns faster.
- Leave retinol and acids for 48 hours.
- Book the next one in four to six weeks, about one skin cycle.
